Schedule Your Home Inspection, Today!

Home Inspection: Buyer

A home is probably the largest purchase you will ever make, so it is important to understand the condition of your investment. I will provide a non-invasive examination of the home’s accessible structure, systems and components. While a home inspection is not prediction of future conditions and cannot reveal every concern that exists (or ever could exist), it will significantly reduce your anxiety by arming you with the knowledge you need to make an informed home-buying decision.

Home Inspection: Seller

Are you selling your home? Let me inspect it before you even list it. A Move-In-Certified™ seller inspection informs you of any defects or problems with your home so that you can address them before prospective buyers discover them. You can then take the time you need to obtain reasonable repair estimates. Show prospective buyers that you are dealing in good faith. Avoid 11th hour negotiations and delays, and justify your full asking price by having your home pre-inspected by us now.

RecallChek: For Peace of Mind

With homes today, there are on average seven major home appliances. According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, there were over 1500 recalls on home appliances in 2016 alone. The majority of homes with those appliances that have active recalls are unaware of the safety recall.
During our inspection of your home, we record the make, model and serial number of the appliances and send them into a company that checks the appliances against the national database for active recalls. Then you get a separate report from them with all the information on your appliances. And if there are ever any recalls that are announced in the future, you will receive an email from them informing you of the recall and how to have the manufacturer repair or replace the appliance.

Home Maintenance Literature

We know that for some people, the idea of having to manage repairs can simply be overwhelming or impractical due to work schedules. For many, this is the first time they don’t have a landlord to call who will take care of repairs and maintenance. Now they have to know whether the water heater is supposed to make those noises or if they should call a plumber. That is exactly why after every inspection, we provide this book at no cost to you. It covers everything from what types of water valves you will see in your plumbing to how best prepare your home for a rainstorm.

Aerial Drone Inspection

I am an FAA Certified Drone Pilot and an InterNACHI Certified Drone Pilot. I can determine the condition of a home’s roof from safely on the ground when it isn’t possible to walk. When a home inspector deems that a roof is unsafe to walk on foot, this often means that the roof doesn’t get inspected at all. Roofs are an important part of a home’s overall safety and comfort, so we use an Aerial Drone to inspect what other inspectors won’t. I use the drone to fly over the property and gather high-resolution images of the roof from above, allowing us to see the roofs condition and any damages. Contact SR Home Inspections to schedule your next Aerial Drone Inspection.

Home Inspection: Sample Report

This Sample Report consists of potentially significant findings. These findings can be a safety hazard, a deficiency requiring a major expense to correct or items I would like to draw extra attention to. The summary is not a complete listing of all the findings in the report, and reflects the opinion of the inspector. Please review all pages of the report as the summary alone does not explain all of the issues. All repairs should be done by a licensed & bonded tradesman or qualified professional. I recommend obtaining a copy of all receipts, warranties, and permits for the work done.
